• Question: what are numbers?

      That is a philosophical question! I guess a simple answer is a way of notating the quantity you have of something. Probably not a very good definition though – it falls down when considering imaginary numbers, infinities and to some extent zero…

      In summary – I don’t really know!!

      Numbers are just like letters really! Except they refer to an amount rather than a sound.
