      There are very few different types of amino acid-if you removed one then we might not be able to absorb nutrients from food any more.

      Or if all the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (about 0.5%of air) turned to carbon monoxide, then our red blood cells would stop being able to transport oxygen and we would die.
