      Ooh good question.

Okay so my research is heavily application based, looking into whats now called Non-Destructive Testing. Essentially its using hard (more energetic) x-rays to image industrial objects, similar to medical x-rays but instead of flesh and bone, metals and plastics.

Hopefully my research and research into compact laser systems will result in NDT being commonplace in industry. Bringing down faults in machinery, protect workers from hazardous materials, and protect end users in some fashion.

      Hope that answers your question!
