We know how to “slow time” – by travelling at speed. A clock moves at its maximum speed when observed “at rest” however if the clock is moving relative to my observation it will tick slower.
They proved this with two atomic clocks, one at rest, one sent on a plane around the world, for those on the plane the clock moved as normal but when compared to the clock “at rest” back home they found it had lost a few nanoseconds.
It’s not much but thanks to relativity we can “control” time… a little.
