      The brain is measured in cubic centimetres. 1 cubic centimetre is the same as 1 ml of water – so 1000 cubic centimetres is the same volume as a litre jug of water – imagine your pyrex jug in the kitchen that you use for measuring out liquids!

      The average adult brain has a volume of 1130 cubic centimeters (1.13 litres) for women and 1260 cubic centimetres (1.26 litres). However sizes have been shown to range from as small as 974.9 cubic centimetres (0.97 litres) to an amazing 1498.5 cubic centimetres (1.5 litres)!!!
