Question: Why is the synchron better at x-rays than an x-ray machine?

Most lab x-ray sources only create x-rays of one wavelength. Using the synchrotron, we can create pretty whatever energy/wavelength of x-rays we need. This allows us to do experiments where the variable we change is the energy/wavelength – the synchrotron is the only way of doing this.
